Custom separator for multiple values in csv and tsv exports?

I found the (amusing!) DSV export format, but I was hoping for a way to change the separator for multiple values within a Reference List field.

I have a table with 4 Reference List columns. Unfortunately, some of the reference data contains commas. Then, when I export, my multiple reference values are separated by commas, causing confusion on import into another tool.

I would really like to separate the multiple values by something else - a pipe, a backslash, a currency symbol, anything.

Is there any way to do that?

This feels like something that comes up a lot when moving data between tools….
