Best approach for converting complex spreadsheet

I am new to Grist and am really enjoying what it can do. I use a number of spreadsheets for various things and Grist is opening lots of possibilities. The project I’ve started working on is a multi sheet spreadsheet that I use to track annual sales goals along with commission. Each sale is tracked by month and contains a number of formulas. Different types of sales have different commissions and could potentially be a split commission depending on data in one column. In the spreadsheet I’m using a complex nested if statement.
I don’t know python but willing to learn what I need. I’m trying to decide if I should convert the long if statement into python or if there is a better approach to the overall project using Grist versus a spreadsheet? I put the basic file up here https://docs.getgrist.com/rujp2WQuXr9E/forecast?utm_id=share-doc

This sounds like a great use case, and this is timely! We’ve been brainstorming ways to amplify Grist education while using real-world spreadsheet problems (with dummy data to protect users.) I’d love to help and turn that help into a video that could help others.

Would you be willing to let me take a look at your Google Doc, then hop on a call with me to get this going? Whatever solution we create, you get to keep! If you’re interested, send me a DM through this forum or email success@getgrist.com

I reached out via email and have sent over a copy of the spreadsheet.

Awesome, thank you! Just took a look and replied.
