Choice field : jump to next row after selection

Hey :grinning:,
Is there a reason why after selecting an element from a “Choice” field ,
it’s jumping to the next row instead of staying on the same row ?

This behavior comes from the typical spreadsheet behavior of moving to the next line after entering a value. It’s helpful when entering a column of values.

I think you are right to call it out. It feels particularly wrong when clicking into a dropdown. It may also be more annoying than helpful in other cases – basically, whenever NOT entering a column of values.

I think Grist could be tweaked fairly easily to avoid the “move-to-next-row” behavior when clicking into the dropdown. Would a change like that be worthwhile on its own?
