Is it possible to share Custom Widgets just the way Forms can be?
I’d like to integrate custom forms, natively, yet share them in the same manner as the standard forms.

Not at this time. The underlying mechanism used by Grist to share forms was originally envisioned to be applicable to other widget types, so that you could share and/or embed a particular widget on an external page. While it’s not something we’re actively working on right now, the possibility is open for supporting it later.
In the meantime, you could try embedding your Grist document. There are parameters you can use alongside access rules to allow limited access to a particular page.
