Back in the day, once upon a time in 1996 seeing X-Men vs. Street Fighterwas a dream come true in the arcades. Cyclops and Ryu on the same screen shaking hands was something nobody could have imagined until they saw it with their own eyes. To celebrate the amazingness of this game, I decided to build a Grist doc that’s essentially a tournament and match tracker for it.
How it works: Four linked tables (Fighters, Moves, Players, and Matches) log every 2v2 tag match, including who played, which characters they picked, and who won.
Fighters
Moves - shows all moves linked to a Character. Best when used with a linked widget to a Summary table.
Players - Player Database along with their Main Character
Matches - Every single match logged as a row. Has the player’s 2 characters and the winner.
