It’s more of a aesthetic concern, but is it possible to:
- Set the width of a column with a number
- Reset all the columns width of a table to default
- Set all the columns width of a table to the minimum depending on content

The only way to change a column’s width is to drag-and-drop each column to your desired width.
While none of the items you listed are currently possible, these would each be really great product improvements for the future. I’ll share your ideas with the team!

Hi Natalie, I’m liking Grist so far, but I’d like to see all the above column width abilities too. I’ve had a quick look on Github, but I’m not a developer so I’m not sure if this request is queued for development yet or not (apologies if it is). Thanks for your good work.
I would have thought these things were quite basic quality of life features, I’m surprised Grist doesn’t already have them. Definitely needed, including double clicking the right edge of a column header to adjust it to the minimum of the content, but a setting on the table to do this for all columns automatically, and adjust as they’re used, would be next level above Excel.
