Request call from CUSTOM URL widget

Can we for example make a rest api call from the custom url html file ?
I mean , I want to use carboneio/carbone: Fast and simple report generator, from JSON to pdf, xslx, docx, odt… (github.com) to generate a pdf from json data.
Can we send from Grist the row selected to a certain url ?
