Simplifying User and Timestamp Tracking for Column Modifications in Grist

Hello everyone,

I love using Grist, but for creating an activity report, I need to know who filled each column and when it was filled. Currently, I find myself having to create a “User Stamp” and a “Time Stamp” column for each data column, which is very cumbersome and time-consuming.

Do you have any suggestions to avoid this problem? Is there a single formula to identify which column was modified by whom and when?

I have the same problem. I ended up creating 1 column for each field to track who modified it, and then 1 column for each team member to track the time they modified the record. It’s not a precise history of who did what at when, but at least some info to go by. There has to be a better solution. I look forward to the Grist team’s answer.
