The left sidebar doesn’t show tables, it shows Pages (which can also have sub-pages). Tables can then be shown on a page using the Table widget (or via various other widgets). When you create a new Page, however, you can also create a new Table, which results in the Page appearing to be the same as the new Table… But really it’s as described above.
Anyhow, to see the duplicate table you created, you can add it as a new widget to an existing Page, or you can create a new Page and select the duplicated table to be on the Page.
