Judging by the description in the article, you can hypothetically insert XML text into a Grist cell as a formula / trigger formula with the necessary variables from Columns and assemble a diagram in the widget…
Although for such tasks it is “cheaper” for speed to make an svg rendering widget whose field could be used with the /attachment API?
Are there any plans to release a widget that implements draw.io functionality or SVG-canvas for Grist?
